Friendly, helpful and a tremendous range of appliances and units
I contacted DKB in Nov 2017 with a view to remodelling our bathroom. Steve called out to our home to measure up and discuss options for the renovation. He was punctual, professional and very attentive to our ideas making a number of sensible suggestions to guide our choices on dcor and layout options. In addition, he did not employ any hard sell tactics and left our home after a 20-30 minute visit with no binding agreement in place. My wife and I were left to fully discuss our thoughts and took the opportunity to later visit the showroom to get a proper idea as to the quality and range on offer. It was at this point we were compelled to go with the service offered. Our supply and fit was arranged for the end of January 2018 with a 3-5 day estimate to complete. The fitting was carried out by James Hendry and team, and I was impressed by their work ethic throughout. As we only have the one bathroom; the boys ensured that they connected the wc at the end of each day to minimise any inconvenience as much as possible. The job was completed on the 5th day and we couldn't be happier with the finish. 2 minor snagging issues presented after the fit but I obtained an immediate email response to these from Steve and the matters were resolved within 24 hours. I would just like to extend my gratitude to the whole team and would have no qualms about seeking out a quote from DKB for any future projects.
Left our new kitchen project in the 'capable' hands of DKB whilst on holiday for 10 days. What a mistake, big mistake. Came home to find doors missing, handles missing, broken wood, light shade missing, tiling not finished - snagging list quite substantial, aside from the huge mixup of colours on the cabinets. Finally Refitted in correct colours, took much longer to complete than what we'd agreed and paid for - very rough finishing for the expense we paid. Oven is now lifting from worktops, grouting a complete mess on tiles and doors not sitting correctly - kitchen is less than 6 months old. I would welcome any potential customers into our home to view the 'finished' result before making a decision to proceed with this company....I'd also be inclined to investigate the 'good' reviews and how they're linked to DKB....
Kitchen took 5 weeks to complete instead of 2,no hob,no washing machine,no fridge for 5 weeks in a family home,if you are ok with this then go ahead.No project management,only heard from Steve the owner twice,week 1 when he was looking for the balance to be paid and week 4 when it was decided that the job cost more than was originally quoted and another 500 was required.My husband had to carry in our new kitchen as the delivery drive came alone,we felt we had to constantly chase items to ensure we got what was originally asked for.This company gives its tradesman a bad name.All tradesmen who entered my home were excellent and the kitchen is gorgeous but the company's lack of customer service and communication was shocking and that is the reason I would not recommend them.You have been warned.
Fantastic experience start to finish. I couldn't be happier with my kitchen. Professional service from sale to fitting. I love local family businesses. Well done everyone.
